Plus, her secret skin problem.

Actress Sofia Vergara is legitimately famous. It’s a guess only, we’ve not actually checked her bank account or anything, but she’s likely also legitimately rich.

And yet, it turns out that the 46-year-old has a refreshingly, low-key skincare regime.

The wife and mother of one, steers clear of ultra-luxe (and therefore expensive) five-star skincare products and instead opts for pharmacy and supermarket basics.

Her number one favourite brand – Cetaphil.

The Modern Family star particularly likes the no-fuss brand’s Gentle Skin Cleanser (250ml), $11.

This hard-working, gentle cleanser is perfect for Sofia’s skin which has become reactive and sensitised thanks to countless long hours working under hot studio lights.

“It’s hard because I get really red, so I’ve realised that I’ve had to treat my skin like sensitive skin, where I didn’t before,” she told Who What Wear. “I used to love products and would try anything.” But those days are over.

Now, Sofia opts for calming products only and steers clear of those seem rich and/ or heavy.

She revealed that she still gives new products a try but she’s come to realise that the basic versions are those that work best with her easily reddened, quick-to-flush complexion.

“I try different ones all the time, because people recommend me stuff, especially in this business. But the basic stuff works best for me,” she said. As for all-round skin perfecting advice? She had just this to say …

Take your makeup off. Stay out of the sun. Drink water. And get some sleep.

“I mean, it’s no mystery. The typical things that everyone has always told you to do for your skin — those things work,” she added.
