For Prince George’s 5th birthday, the royal family released a very adorable photo of the young prince grinning from ear to ear.
While the photo is adorable on its own, many royal fans noticed that the 5-year-old is the spitting image of his mother, Kate Middleton, in a newly surfaced photo.
Wearing a crisp, white collared shirt with blue piping, the cheeky young royal beams for the camera in a picture taken by photographer Matt Porteous.
Along with the photograph, Kensington Palace wrote: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday – thank you everyone for your lovely messages.’
Prince George isn’t the only little royal being compared to his famous mum.
Princess Charlotte stepped out for her little brother, Prince Louis’, royal christening and the Internet couldn’t get over the young royals resemblance to the Duchess of Cambridge.

However, despite many noticing the similarities between Charlotte and her mother, the most noteworthy similarities that royal fans have picked up on is that of the three-year-old royal and her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
