The drama reached fever pitch on Tuesday night’s My Kitchen Rules with a sudden death challenge between Group One’s Mick and Jodi-Anne and Group Two’s Anne and Jennifer.

But something smelled rotten and it wasn’t a dish, as outspoken duo Ibby and Romel subtly sabotaged Anne and Jennifer with low marks while giving their Group One team mates a perfect 10.

Their co-star Bianca wasn’t having it – and here’s a recap of what went down.

According to Daily Mail Australia, Ibby and Romel entered Tuesday’s challenge with a scoring advantage after winning the People’s Choice award at the Pop Up Restaurant earlier this week.

The perk allowed the controversial pair to award 20 points instead of the 10 available to their rival.

Discussing their sneaky plan, Ibby told Romel: “Regardless of how the food is, I think we need to vote smart.”

Romel agreed and they voted accordingly, and despite the judges awarding them higher marks it was Anne and Jennifer who were sent home thanks to Ibby and Romel’s strategic meddling.

Statistician Bianca spotted a flaw in the score numbers, demanding to know “how does that even work mathematically?”.

Her query prompted outrage among Group Two and the numbers whizz eventually realised someone had given Mick and Jodi-Anne full marks.

A defensive Romel snapped: “You can’t make assumptions.”

To which Bianca cooly hit back: “I can – it’s mathematical.”

Hours later the crafty Sydney socialites spoke exclusively to New Idea about the Drama, with Ibby revealing Group Two’s Veronica and Piper also scored strategically – it just wasn’t shown in the episode.

“What I heard is that Veronica and Piper did ad eight and a one or an eight and a two or a nine and a one or something ridiculous,” Ibby said.

“I haven’t seen it. That’s just what I heard. They did the same thing but they had no reason. They should be ashamed.

“At the end of the day, we did it [strategic voting] for a reason. We did it to protect us.”
