In news set to rock the world, it has been revealed that at the time of his death, Michael Hutchence was undergoing fertility treatment in the hopes of having another baby with girlfriend Paula Yates.
As exposed in Channel Seven’s world exclusive two-part documentary, the INXS rocker’s close friend and lawyer Colin Diamond has spoken out for the first time, confirming the news.
‘Michael was actively having fertility treatment,’ Colin says. ‘He was actively having fertility treatment in the UK with Paula. They were looking at having another child together.
Contrary to allegations at the time that the couple was on the verge of splitting up, Colin claims Michael and Paula were actually planned to wed.
‘Michael and I had discussion about them getting married in Tahiti,’ Colin explains. ‘They wanted to get married in Tahiti the following July.’
‘The discussions that I’d had with Michael all the way through was certainly not to leave her. He was more interested in getting back to London to complete the fertility treatment to have another child.’
However, according to Colin, it was Paula’s ongoing custody battle with Bob Geldof, which was standing between them and giving them and giving baby Tiger Lily a sibling.
