The newly wed Duchess of Sussex delivered an emotional speech at her and Prince Harry’s evening reception at Frogmore House on Saturday, and a source who attended has told Us Weekly what the emotional bride said.
The source claims the the 36-year-old bride was teary-eyed as she thanked her mother Doria Ragland.
‘She said, ‘You have always been there for me through everything’,’ the insider claimed, noting the bride failed to mention her father Thomas Markle, who was unable to attend the wedding due to a recent heart surgery.
Meghan also thanked her father-in-law Prince Charles, and stepmother, Duchess Camilla, for being gracious hosts and welcoming her and her mother into the family.
Harry also delivered an emotional speech at the evening event, saying that ‘Meghan has handled things with grace and dignity,’ adding that he can’t wait for them ‘to be a team.’
