‘We were always together,’ Kerri-Anne continued. ‘It hurts, but I still think of how he would expect me to act, to be… and there is a lot of decisions to make.

‘It’s not fair, but life happens.’

The TV veteran when onto to show her co hosts a precious keepsake from her husband which he gave her for good luck.

‘In 1981, when I was hired as the anchor of Good Morning Australia, John had this made for me and I have worn this as my good luck charm as I know I always have him close with me.’

‘I think for two because he taught me to, and he was the best, kindest person I’ve ever known. I get more comfort out of the fact we think as two,’ she added.
