Fresh from her shock split with Bachelor In Paradise boyfriend, Jarrod Woodgate, Keira Maguire is still heartbroken over the unexpected turn of events. But here, the TV personality shares with New Idea exactly how her ex ended their nine-month relationship and how she’ll make her dreams of becoming a mum come true by freezing her eggs.
Facing an uncertain future, Keira says she’s struggling to move on.
‘Jarrod and I had a two-year plan – get married and have a baby within two years,’ she explains. ‘I used to tell him all the time I wanted a baby, which is crazy because I didn’t even want kids until I met Jarrod.’
And while trying to come to terms with her shattered plans, she admits she’s considering fertility treatment.
‘I don’t want to do it by myself. I want to be married and be in a good position to bring a baby into the world. I’m only 32 but if I get to 35 and I’m still single, 100 per cent I will freeze my eggs and wait for the right person.’
Adamant a reunion between the pair is off the cards, Keira explains there’s no malice between them.
‘I still love him,’ she admits.
‘My feelings were very real. I thought he was the one and we were going to be together forever. Jarrod was my priority. I gave him everything, but I wasn’t his priority and he’s not ready for a relationship. He would have to come begging on his knees for forgiveness if he wanted to try again because I can’t get over this.’
