Young expectant parents Dempsey (Sophie Don) and Mason (Orpheus Pledger) are getting on better than ever, having decided, for now, to focus on each other rather than their long-term future.
‘These are two people who are still working out what they want in life, but a situation like this either brings people much closer together or makes them run in the other direction,’ says Sophie.
Adds Orpheus: ‘Mason’s shadowed his older siblings his whole life – he’s had them to look up to and learn from. Now we’ve seen a bit of a coming-of-age for him.’
But when Dempsey suddenly begins to feel unwell at Hunter’s (Scott Lee) farewell lunch, Mason can’t help but be concerned.
Before long, the pair are at the hospital, anxiously awaiting word from doctors.
‘Mason’s pretty scared,’ says Orpheus. ‘By this time, he’s really invested himself in Dempsey and the pregnancy.’
