Feeling embarrassed and a bit uneasy when she comes to, Roo (Georgie Parker) tries to brush James off but he ignores her, instead insisting that a professional opinion is necessary.

Despite thinking it a little silly, Roo takes James’ advice and visits the doctor where a blood test is administered. The GP is confident Roo fainted due to low blood sugar, but doesn’t want to take any chances, with the small chance it’s something more concerning.

Later on, when Roo is discussing her collapse with Morag (Cornelia Frances), her feelings are hurt when the experienced lawyer suggests that she may be experiencing menopause. But after a quick Google of the symptoms of menopause, Roo realises Morag has a valid point, despite thinking that stage of her life was a few years away.

When Roo sees James, she decides honesty is the best way to deal with this situation – they haven’t been dating long but he deserves the truth.

She admits her menopause suspicions and, to her delight, James responds positively. He explains that he never saw himself having kids anyway and Roo feels relieved.

But just when Roo thinks all is well, her doctor phones – he has her test results. The doctor begins to reveal the truth behind her collapse – she’s
not going through menopause, it’s something more serious – and a fresh wave of panic spreads through her body.

What’s wrong with Roo
and will she be OK?

Home And Away airs Monday to Thursday, 7pm, Channel Seven.
