Jasmine (Sam Frost) – who collapsed on the beach last week – is struggling to cope with her ex-fiancé’s return.
And Robbo (Jake Ryan), who was with the nurse when she fell to the sand, is fraught with concern for the woman he loves.
“Jasmine’s health is number one to Robbo,” confirms Jake.
But while Robbo was once Jasmine’s rock, it seems his presence is now only causing her to feel more stressed. Indeed, Tori (Penny McNamee) confirms that’s the case when she tells Robbo that her colleague needs space.
“Tori is greatly concerned for Jasmine,” says Penny.
A little while later, urged by Irene (Lynne McGranger) to open up to Robbo, Jasmine finally summons the courage to do so. But it’s clearly not easy.
After blurting out to Robbo that he wasn’t the first person to leave her, Jasmine again races off.
“Robbo’s return brings up some things from Jasmine’s past that she has never really dealt with,” says Sam.
When Robbo tracks her down, Jasmine finally reveals her heartbreaking family secret – her mother died when she was six, and her father left her a year later.
“It takes a lot of courage for Jasmine to open up about her abandonment issues from her childhood,” says Sam. “She had tried to bury these issues and lock them up. It’s not until Robbo came back that she realised these unresolved issues are causing quite a problem in their relationship.”
Indeed, we see that Robbo is devastated by Jasmine’s revelation.“Robbo coming back has proven very traumatic for Jasmine, and now he knows why,” says Jake.
