Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty is coming to Australia and we’re so excited

The Hollywood star's makeup range is one to watch.

Flower Beauty is a smash-hit success in the US and it’s winging its way to Australia as we speak.

Hollywood fave Drew Barrymore launched the range back in 2012 and it’s been quietly gaining popularity ever since. There’s good reason for that too. Flower Beauty is 100 per cent natural (big tick), cruelty-free (tick again) and incredibly well priced with almost every product selling for less than $15 (all the ticks!). And then there’s this – it is very, very good.

The range, which will be available in Australia from January 2019, will be exclusive to Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide. It will also be distributed online and will stock over 100 SKUs ranging from $3.99 – $13.99. Yes. You read that right … there are items selling for just $4.

And like we said, they’re ace quality too – something Drew, now 43 and a mama of two, is singularly proud of.

“I see (influencer) videos where they’re like, ‘this (Flower) lipstick feels like a Tom Ford lipstick,” she told WWD.

“To hear a comparison like that from an influencer who isn’t being paid a cent because we can’t afford to pay influencers, it makes you feel like, ‘Oh my God — all that labor and cost-cutting (paid off) because someone who really knows and loves beauty thinks our lipsticks are on a department store level.”

The first products to go on sale here in Australia are expected to be Flower Beauty’s Beauty Flash Full Face Palette, which includes three beautiful, natural eye shadows, two flattering blush shades, a bronzer plus highlighter, and the cult favourite Light Illusion Foundation, a light, natural-looking foundation that provides awesome coverage yet somehow looks 100 per cent natural too.

Like we said, this range is awesome. Mark your calendars now because come January it’s likely to sell out and fast.

And if you have young folk in your life who are looking to get into makeup, this range is a terrific starting point. It provides a pretty, natural look that’s perfect for those wishing to highlight their individuality rather than cover it up. And we are so here for that.
