It’s the reunion we’ve all been waiting for and now it’s official: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are back together, after their friends George Clooney and wife Amal engineered a romantic break for the pair in Rome.

Behind it all has been Hollywood matchmaker and Brad’s onetime co-star George – who was never a fan of Brad’s ex, Angelina Jolie – and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that his friends are fully reconciled.
‘George wants to see one of his best friends, Brad Pitt, happy again,’ a source told Life & Style magazine in the US. ‘And that means one thing: Jennifer Aniston.
‘So, George invited Brad and Jen on a couple’s retreat in Rome. In the end it wound up being like one really long double date filled with tears, laughter and love.
‘Brad never looked happier.’
While it’s still early days yet, Life & Style’s source says that George in convinced the signs are good for a reconciliation, and he has his fingers crossed after luring the pair away from Los Angeles, California – and Jen’s usual, and boringly predictable, holiday destination, Mexico – for a weekend in gorgeous Italy.
‘George knows that Brad is working really hard to get Jen back, and that’s a tall order,’ the insider told the publication. ‘Not that Jen is opposed to it – it’s just that there are obvious trust issues.
‘Jen was very tentative and who could blame her? Brad left her for Angie, and trusting him again is a huge uphill battle.’
But it seems that George’s excellent planning is already bearing fruit, with Jen and Brad’s stay in Rome a major success. Fresh from her divorce from Justin Theroux, it seems that Jennifer is ready for the future.
‘It was a magical few days,’ says the Life & Style insider.
‘Brad and Jen stayed at a very private villa in Rome.
‘George organised it all, saying he was booking it for his parents so there would be no prying eyes.
‘It was very romantic thanks in no small part to a staff whose number one priority was discretion.’
Jen and Brad were said to be thrilled with the break and are eager for more, with the source adding that they ‘Reminisced about the good times they had, when they first met, their chemistry, amazing vacations and more.’
Brad was especially excited to spend time with his ex-wife.
‘They were both blown away. The weekend definitely brought them closer. Jen told Amal she felt like she’d stepped back in time with Brad.’
