Bindi Irwin has plans to honour her late-father Steve Irwin on her wedding day.

“I really want to include Dad on the day and make sure that he is with us in some way,” the 21-year-old told People.
“We’ll be able to all get up as a little family and light a candle in his honour and share a few words on what an amazing dad he was and still is.”
Bindi became engaged to long-term boyfriend Chandler Powell on the grounds of Queensland’s Australia Zoo on her 21st birthday in July 2019.
Bindi shared a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram and captioned the post:
“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life.
“Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forward to spending our forever together as your wife.’
Speaking at the party, Bindi said she wished her late dad could be with her as she celebrated the milestone, with the Crocodile Hunter’s image a strong presence on her big day.
Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin, will also play a role in her upcoming wedding.
“I’m walking Bindi down the aisle, which is just gonna be awesome,” the 15-year-old said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Bindi told Entertainment Tonight: “I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle, that’s something that I really want to do.”
“I’m always so grateful that Robert is there, and he has been such a big part of my life and he’s always stepped up and been the one to give me a hug when I need it and encourage me forward in life,” Bindi added.
“So he will definitely be the one to walk me down the aisle when the time comes, and I think that will make it really special.”

Bindi – who met her fiance in 2013 while giving him a tour of Australia Zoo – revealed that her wedding dress will be inspired by the one the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle wore in her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
“I mean everyone loves a beautiful love story but theirs is so extraordinary,” she told Hello of the royal.
“When you look at Meghan, just look at that beauty and the royals are always so graceful, and I think that grace is so fantastic.”
The young conservationist is also said to be paying a special tribute to her mother Terri Irwin’s wedding dress.
