Fans of the Bachelor Australia were left scratching their heads last week when frontrunner Helena Sauzier seemingly had second thoughts at her home town with Matt Agnew, and threatened to leave the show – twice.

But the 25-year-old health coach has told the Daily Telegraph that there was more to the story than what was shown by producers.

“I don’t know how much I am allowed to go into it but he forgot our meeting on the red carpet, then he got my occupation incorrect — he asked if I was a theatre nurse and I was like, what? Wrong girl,” Helena explained.

And it wasn’t just one thing that slipped Matt’s mind, but three. Which was just too much for Helena to handle.

“He also forgot where I was from, Mauritius, and that had formed the basis of so many conversations we had over dates and stuff. So him getting three things in a row wrong — my heart kind of sank,” she continued.

Helena said Matt’s forgetfulness was a “massive red flag” during the episode.
“My whole family was kind of like, this is not a good sign. My feelings were strong then I took him getting all the above wrong as a sign that the feelings weren’t being reciprocated,” she told the publication.
After Helena took Matt aside before the rose ceremony, he send Emma Roche home, leaving Helena, Abbie Chatfield and Chelsea McLeod as the final three.
