Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly reached a final temporary custody agreement, ending their bitter battle.
Sources tell GLOBE the estranged couple decided to ‘wave the white flag’ so they can sort out permanent custody of their six children.
‘They realised all this fighting wasn’t doing either of them any good, and it was stressing out the kids too,’ a friend dished to GLOBE.
‘So they called a truce. They met at a lawyer’s office in LA,’ they add. ‘I’m told Angie was cool and more agreeable.’
‘They both agreed this is the best thing for the kids.’
The temporary deal gives Brad more time with their children, but it will only last one month.
‘Before their meeting, Brad was pulling his hair out over Angie’s unwillingness to meet him halfway,’ an insider says.
‘She was making things very difficult for him. It wasn’t until a judge threatened to reduce her time with the children that she eased up.’
The Maleficent star also split from her longtime lawyer Laura Wasser.
‘Angie concluded that her ‘no surrender’ approach wasn’t working and would actually work in Brad’s favour,’ a source said.
‘She’s still tough as nails on what she wants, but she’s smart enough to see that it doesn’t help her case to diss Brad.’
‘She and Brad both insist they want their family to heal.’
Angelina and Brad are yet to respond to GLOBE’s report.
